Bentley owners, do you bother with annual servicing or just fix things when they break?

Bit of a philosophical question I guess. My Continental GT is out of warranty now and I'm wondering whether to keep up the full service schedule at the dealer prices or switch to a lighter maintenance approach with an independent and just deal with issues as they come up. Everyone I ask gives me a different answer, some say these cars punish you for skipping anything, others say it's overkill and half the recommended work is unnecessary on a car that only does 8,000 km a year. For those who've owned these cars a while, what's your actual approach? Full schedule no matter what, or a more pragmatic version? I'd rather hear from people who've lived with the consequences than from a service advisor.
