Black Ops' best assault weapons can keep up to the pace of mobile and aggressive play while handling the diverse maps. Due to this, the M15 Mod 0 — one of the assault rifles you will automatically unlock when you access loadouts — is the most popular, though it is up against several other outstanding assault weapons. This is a comparison of the best weapons in BO7.





Black Ops 7 assault rifle tier list





M15 Mod 0 currently is the best assassin rifle in Black Ops 7 - mainly because it's unlocked, and it's incredibly easy. It also happens to be one of the meta guns we recommend. This weapon is very accurate and easy to control, thanks to its solid damage and low recoil. It can be enhanced with the appropriate attachments.

In Black Ops 7 the majority of assault rifles are very good. So while the M15 may be a fantastic all-rounder it's definitely worth trying out all of them to see which suits you better. Here's the order in which we ranked each of them:





S-tier:


M15 Mod.0 is simple, reliable, versatile.


AK-27 - Solid weapon for longer-range engagements compared the M15. However, its poor handling, mobility and high recoil can easily be mitigated by attachments.


A-tier:


Peacekeeper Mark 1: A poor range combined with a high fire rate makes the Peacekeeper an excellent SMG like assault rifle. Ideal for aggressive play or smaller maps.


X9Maverick: Powerful assault rifle capable of killing with a single blast. Due to the low fire rate, accuracy will be critical.


B-tier:


MXR-17. Although this weapon offers a wide range of firepower and impressive damage, its chugging rate and challenging recurrence make it difficult to handle. It is best used at a medium distance sweet spot.


DS20 Mirage – It's a pretty unremarkable rifle due to its lack of handling, mobility and vertical recoil. The integrated grenade launching system is also a little gimmicky.

Call of Duty Black Ops 7 was met with a mixture of reviews. Activision pledged to improve the game and "overdeliver". It also announced Black Ops & Modern Warfare would not release back-toback anymore. Former Microsoft executive, who was critical of the decision before, now applauds it.





Mike Ybarra, the former Blizzard President and corporate Vice president at Xbox, tweeted this. "Competition's good. "I want to see the Call of Duty team come back with vengeance. For the players and their teams," he declares. They work incredibly hard, and remain extremely talented."





He ends his statement with a nod to a bolder, older one: "We can expect a more exciting Call of Duty now that Battlefield is here." These are some big words, but the truth behind them is not. Activision FPS Series are facing a tough year. Battlefield 6 came out weeks before Black Ops7.





The new Battlefield had an advantage from the start, but this was only amplified by the tepid reception of Call of Duty both critically (it's ranked 67th at the time of publication) and among the player base. It is this rivalry that has fueled innovation and the desire to recover, bringing us here and now.





It's up to us to wait and watch to see if Black Ops 7 can turn things around. In the post about Black Ops 7's state, Treyarch's and Raven Software's devs promise to "not stop until Black Ops 7 earns the place of one of the greatest Black Ops games that we've ever produced." The goal is lofty but there are many who hope to see this happen. This includes people who have been making and shipping games for decades.
