Camaro brakes feel spongy after new pads, did I mess something up?

I replaced the brake pads on my Camaro myself last weekend, first time doing it on this car, and now the pedal feels softer than before and it travels further before biting. The pads are bedded in and there's no fluid leak that I can see, so I'm not sure if I introduced air into the system somehow or if this is just how new pads feel before they fully seat. I've done brakes on other cars before and never had this issue, so I'm second guessing myself. Someone told me I should check out https://800sayara.com/camaro-repair-abu-dhabi/ and let them look at it before I drive it hard again, which seems sensible since brakes aren't something to gamble with. My question is whether spongy pedal after a pad change is normal or if it points to air in the lines, and whether I should just bleed them myself or get it done properly. Also, do these cars need any special procedure for the ABS system when bleeding? I'd rather not make it worse by guessing.
