Jeep AC struggles in summer, is this just how they are?

My Grand Cherokee's AC has been struggling in the heat, blowing cool rather than cold once the cabin's been sitting in the sun, and it takes ages to get comfortable. I had it regassed last summer and it was better for a while, so either there's a slow leak or these systems just can't cope with our summers. I came across https://jeepservicemussafah.ae/ while looking for a Jeep specialist, but I'd rather hear from owners than trust a listing. Has anyone else found their Jeep's AC underwhelming in peak summer, and did a proper service actually fix it or just improve it slightly? Also, is it worth getting a leak test before another regas, because I don't want to keep topping it up every year if there's a real problem.
